He went from mobile salesman to international celebrity.
What is also interesting is the amount of hits his story has received on You tube - the above video was his opening performance this had 20 million; another video has around 60 million hits and counting.
It appeals to our potential - some may go on to realize it - some may put it on the back burner, but just watching this video brings a flicker of hope - that with heart, courage, determination and a little luck its possible....
The most attractive aspect of the story is the manner in which he triumphed - you have three cosmetically groomed judges sneering at the guy when he tells them his dream along with quite a few of the audience and probably a considerable amount of folks back home - he takes no notice.
Then he blows them away many to the point of tears.
We can meet criticism and look for acceptance in the audience - in the judges - or we fear to stand out by following our dreams and vision.
Like the Pink Floyd lyric:
"Two lost souls swimming in a fish boil year after year, running over the same old ground and how we found the same old fears..."
We can feel like our life is permanent and unchanging and hold back - if we look a little closer death is just around the corner, take a risk and realize your dream....
